Scouting Program Process
1. Talent Identification
Scouts begin by identifying players with potential, using both traditional observation and modern data analytics. They attend local, regional, and international matches, tournaments, and training sessions to spot players who possess the technical, tactical, and physical attributes needed to excel.
2. Data Collection and Analysis
Once potential talent is identified, scouts gather detailed information on the player's performance, including stats like goals, assists, speed, stamina, and decision-making. This is paired with video analysis to assess their suitability for the team’s playing style.
3. Player Evaluation
The player is evaluated based on various factors such as technical ability, tactical understanding, physical attributes, mental resilience, and potential for development. Scouts also consider the player's personality, work ethic, and adaptability.
4. Background Checks and Monitoring
Beyond on-field performance, scouts perform background checks on the player's attitude, discipline, injury history, and professionalism. Continuous monitoring over time helps scouts assess the player's growth, consistency, and readiness for top-level competition.
5. Final Report and Recommendation
After completing the evaluation process, scouts compile a comprehensive report on the player, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and long-term potential. The report is then submitted to the club’s management and coaching staff for consideration, leading to a decision on recruitment.
6. Negotiation and Recruitment
Once the player has been thoroughly evaluated and deemed a valuable addition, the club initiates the recruitment process. The scout, in collaboration with the club's management, begins discussions with the player, their agent, and the current club. This step involves negotiating contract terms, transfer fees , and ensuring the player understands the opportunities and expectations at the international football club. Once terms are agreed upon, the player signs a professional contract, officially becoming part of the club and beginning their journey at the international level.
